TRAINER IN MENTAL HEALTH AND WELLNESS
Adonica Shaw was named as one of the top 136 Black Innovators in STEM + Arts by Wonder Women Tech. Adonica is the founder of the health-focused internet company, Wingwomen, and an intentional wellness advocate who is dedicated to cultivating digital spaces that motivate professional women to dedicate themselves wholeheartedly to self-care.
Adonica is an impactful leader who proactively encourages others to show up for their truth. She is someone who personally committed to a life of balance and wellness to overcome the after-effects of Pre-eclampsia, and other difficult life events like divorce, job loss, toxic generational cycles, self-limiting patterns, single parenthood, and loss of significant relationships. Her brands and companies reflect her desire to support professional women as they navigate tough experiences while maintaining their positions of leadership.
As the Founder of Wingwomen Inc., she believes women, in particular, need a unique support system to break through the glass ceilings in their lives. She’s committed to uniting women in the workforce with people and solutions that support their overall growth. Her brand’s Surrender Circle, and the Self-Care Everyday bookstore were intentionally developed for women on a wellness journey in mind. Her ecosystem of companies reinforces her core belief’s that “Women can achieve it all - through balance.” Her mission is to be an inspiring teacher to women in the workforce around the world. Personal alignment, authenticity, compassion, good stewardship, personal growth, and self-accountability. She is an influential public figure with a combined social media and email imprint of 25,000 followers, with an additional professional network reach of roughly half a million people directly. Her first book Depressed to Daring, pub (2020) was a bestseller and is available at major booksellers in addition to Target and Walmart. Her second book “Shatter Your Own Glass Ceiling” is set to publish in 2022.
Adonica is a certified patient-family partner, and Maternal Mortality and Morbidity Advocate with the Preeclampsia foundation. She is also currently enrolled in IIN, and currently working towards my health coach certification. In June 2021, she was accepted to and is participating in the Wharton Entrepreneurship Accelerator this summer through their Executive Education program. Adonica was also recently accepted to and is participating in the MIT - Harvard Medical School Healthcare Innovation program, Fall 2021.
